The ADF Oil-Water Separator is designed to separate oils from oiiy water solutions.This allows extended life and use of parts washers and coolant tanks. This unit is designed to recirculate solutions back to their reservoirs, and is not intended to provide clean solutionsto be sent to sewers.
As the solution moves from one end of the tank to the other, it passes through a series of baffles and weirs. The oil in the water attaches to the baffles and weirs, forms large droplets, which then float to the top. The stainless steel drum type slimmer then removes the oil and, as it passes the wiper blades, the oil is skimmed from the drum and directed to a waste oil container. The unique feature of this system is that you can run the pump continuously and set the drum type skimmer to run intermittently as the oil builds up in the tank. This time period is adjustable and varies for each application. It is designed to prevent unnecessary running of the drum and removal of water by the drum.
